Kenneth Branagh’s miraculous interpretation of The Magic Flute! Some wonderful person put the entire opera on YouTube, I grabbed it, soon as I saw it, before YouTube censors it.
I just learned Branagh released it in 2006 — in Europe… Thought it was longer ago than that, but 2006 is still nearly 20 years ago… I could get a DVD but it was designed for Europe so wouldn’t play in North American DVD players.. The multinationals set up separate parameters for different regions in the world to make it difficult for us and I’d have to get a special DVD player to watch European DVDs… and then I kinda forgot about it.. 🙄
Until yesterday, when I found it, quite by accident on YouTube. Now I’m all set to get a copy of Mozart’s score so I can follow it all properly! 🥰
Why did our Mr. Branagh not release it in North America? I suspect because the average overweight, multiple-chemical dependent North America simply no longer has the intelligence to comprehend Mozart; forget Albert Einstein, Nicola Tesla or Linus Pauling, Wolfgang hands down was likely the most brilliant person who has ever lived, in any field. He was writing symphonies at the age of FIVE⁉️😱
And the situation here has deteriorated even in my experience; as Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi gravely observed yesterday:

But for those of you who are still somewhat functional? Sit back and listen to a brilliant interpretation of some of the most brilliant music / drama that has ever been written. 😘
