What a beautiful post, Capt. Roy! I visualized what it was like in the beginning of the story and then what it came to be. One person can do so much and to do so, without care for recognition or payment. Wow, just wow!

Amazing story thank you. I planted about a hundred thousand trees on a farm in Oz in the 80s and 90s. The connection I feel to these forests when walking through them is deeply spiritual with an energy that seems to revitalise and reminds me who I am. I do wonder now if the trees absorb and protect a human from all the interference in the air around us. Allowing the body and Soul to rest from the constant assault of our Controllers.

In 1987 could’ve been 88. I saw an animated short film of this story on HBO. I’ve never forgotten it and remember it often.
