The — I’m sure — well-intentioned but utterly naive Toni Airaksinen informs me 80-90% of Jews are Zionists. This tells me 80-90% of Jews are genocidists. But that said, below, two quotes from (I assume) two Israelis, about the devolving, potentially catastrophic situation in the Middle East.

So a couple of days ago, “Pithy Pragmatist” posted this Bon Mot on his Substack:

“Israel’s Four Choices in Gaza

After October 7th Israel had four choices in how to respond to the worst per capita terrorist attack in modern history

1. Do nothing.

2. Send in surgical strike teams to engage Hamas and rescue the hostages. Given the size, population, and tunnel infrastructure in Gaza, the chance of success with this option would have been close to zero and with a high IDF casualty rate.

3. Bomb all Hamas targets including facilities under otherwise protected buildings (e.g., hospitals, schools, mosques, etc) while warning people in advance in order to minimize civilian casualties. Then IDF ground forces invade to fight Hamas while simultaneously feeding civilians.

4. Genocide the entire Gaza Strip (ie, bomb indiscriminately without warning) on the grounds that the population is irredeemable and totally dedicated to the destruction of Israel and annihilating all the Jews. If done with the full might of the IDF, this option would have taken between a week and a month tops.

Despite lots of evidence justifying Option 4, Israel opted for Option 3. They are far nicer than many other countries faced with terrorist neighbors would have been. Imagine an October 7th committed against Russia or China or any Muslim country.

PS – Please let me know if there’s a viable option 5 I did not consider.”

I used not to be like this. I used not to be a total “antisemitic” asshole and a bigot. I used to be a reasonable, accommodating, tolerant, compassionate, “progressive”, left-leaning kinda guy. I used to believe the Jews were just the same as everyone else, just a misunderstood people who for centuries have been the innocent victims of completely incomprehensible, totally unjustified malice…

But now? But now lately? I’m given to wonder — and I know it’s utterly unacceptable to say it — but: How much better off humanity would have been, would be now, if the Jews had never existed.
