The 80th Anniversary of D-day… I think of my dad, waking up screaming from nightmares of his combat experiences when I was well into my teens — and thirty years at least after the events happened. I think of my Uncle Roy whom I’m named after, lying in a graveyard in Trenton Ontario, killed during a training accident in 1943. He was 22 years old. I think of my Uncle Ivo; the call-up papers arrived the day after his 18th birthday, a few years later returning from the Far East in 1945 a psychological basket case. And then the illustration above arrived in my email 5 minutes ago…

Yes, I saw that Garrison cartoon earlier.
My Father also served in WWII, in the Navy in the South Pacific. And one Uncle fought in Europe.
And I heard what a disgrace the illegitimate president was today.
Apparently Jill had to intervene and get Mr. Poopy Pants out of there before he said too much. He already pandered to the American people by even mentioning Ukraine, and our "support". No Joe, you mean YOUR stealing our money to support YOUR deep state nazi regime there - Joe.
And fighting Russia?? Does he want a war with Russia? Oh, that's right, they do.
He should have paid respect to Russia for being our ally in WWII.
A shameful day.
